"What better way to honor America's Veterans and to
preserve the memory of a loved one who served bravely for our
country," said Lee Teicholz, who spearheaded the
fundraising campaign.
Former Mayor Mark Boughton said, "The Veterans Walkway of Honor is a
unique addition to the memorials in Rogers Park. As future
generations travel the special path, they will be reminded of
those who have served our country, and who have fought for our
freedoms; hopefully bringing a sense of American pride to each
visitor."
"As
a combat veteran, I am honored to co-sponsor the
Veterans Walkway of Honor and give our heroes the
recognition that they deserve," said Danny
Hayes, Director of Veterans Affairs in Danbury.
We also invite you to email us a photo and a short biography of the honoree. The photos and biographies will be used to create their own web
page on the Veterans Walkway of Honor website.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to be part of a permanent display to those who served our country.
